Steel Authority of India is now open for vacancies of Operators and Attendants. The total number of vacancies now reported is 745. The candidates will have to apply online. The division of posts and number are as follows:
I. Operator cum Technician=220 in which 72 is for discipline of metallurgy, 26 for chemical, 5 for ceramics, 62 for mechanical, 30 for electrical, 15 for instrumentation, 5 for civil and 5 for electronics.
The Payscale for the above posts is 9160-13150.
Age Limit is 18 to 28 years.
The candidate must possess a Diploma in Engineering.
II. Attendar cum Technician=525 in which 156 posts are for Fitter, 117 for electrician, 85 for welder, 50 for machinist, 45 for turner, 36 for instrumentation, 20 for electronics, 6 for refrigeration and 10 for diesel mechanic.
The payscale for the above posts is 8630-12080.
Age limit is 18 to 28 years.
Secondary school leaving certificate and ITI in respective fields is required.
